Josh Goodstadt is Executive Vice President of Licensing for THINK450. In this role, Goodstadt manages existing group licensing partnerships on behalf of all players while creating substantive, disruptive business opportunities across all licensing categories. Goodstadt’s passion for sports and entertainment complements his ability to create innovative deals and broker vital relationships.



A Maryland native, Goodstadt first professional sports work experience was an internship with D.C. United. The soccer club quickly recognized his talents, hiring him as a sales and customer service representative, then as senior account executive, where he managed 15 national and local sponsors, including Honda, Budweiser, Adidas and Kellogg’s.



Goodstadt’s next position was in marketing with NFL Players Inc., the licensing and marketing subsidiary of the NFLPA. As the NFLPA’s assistant vice president, licensing, he managed business relationships of more than 25 licensees for the video game, wireless and fantasy categories, including EA Sports, ESPN.com, Yahoo!, CBS Sportsline and Fox Sports. Goodstadt also oversaw trading cards and collectibles, managing relationships with more than 40 licensees and leading product development to create more than 300 SKU’s annually.



Most recently, Goodstadt was vice president of global licensing and retail at HBO, the international cable and satellite provider. Over 10 years, Goodstadt oversaw all operations pertaining to licensing and retail of consumer products worldwide. He helmed the development and release of merchandise and new product categories across HBO’s original programming franchises Game of Thrones, True Blood, The Sopranos and Sex and the City. Under his direction, HBO’s top performing consumer product and experience initiatives included the Game of Thrones Live Music Tour, featuring the music of Ramin Djawadi; Game of Thrones Conquest, HBO’s first mobile game; the Sex and the City slot machine, and the True Blood cosmetic and fragrance line. At HBO, his range of licensing categories also included apparel, food and beverage, gaming hard goods and collectibles.



Goodstadt holds a bachelor of science in kinesiology from the University of Maryland and a master’s in marketing from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Cortney, and their two young children, Ava and Sam.
