Hal Steinbrenner begins his 33rd season with the New York Yankees organization in 2023 and his 15th as Managing General Partner.

Under Mr. Steinbrenner’s leadership, the Yankees have retained and enhanced their global popularity while continuing to field championship-caliber teams. Since taking the position of Managing General Partner, the Yankees’ .576 combined winning percentage (1,248-918) is the second-highest in all of baseball.

In 2022, which featured unrestricted Stadium seating availability for the first time since 2019, the Yankees drew 3,136,207 fans in just 78 dates, averaging 40,208 per gate. Excluding the 2020 and 2021 seasons which had attendance restrictions due to COVID, the Yankees have drawn more than 3 million fans at home in 22 consecutive years, which is an all-time Major League record. Last season, the Yankees also led the American League in average home attendance for the 17th time in 18 restriction-free seasons. The club’s Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok accounts each have the most followers among all Major League Baseball teams, and the Yankees’ combined total audience on social media exceeds 16 million fans on a daily basis.

In recent years, Mr. Steinbrenner and the Yankees organization have focused on improving the experience for fans of all ages by providing more family-friendly and socially oriented spaces at the Yankees’ spring training home — George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa — and at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. Recent Steinbrenner Field enhancements have included new LED field lighting for 2023 and a complete modernization of the seating bowl and concession areas. Yankee Stadium now features a dedicated children’s zone as well as unique gathering areas for all ticketholders to enjoy.
