At the same time, Watson is a proudly devoted family man who loves nothing more than helping people. He has also spoken with disarming honesty about his mental health struggles.

Even as he moves into his late 40s, he gets emotional when he talks about adopting his children, saying that for him and his wife Angie, they are “the greatest things that ever happened to us.”

Golf has brought so much to the life of the popular player from Bagdad, Florida. However, as he confesses, it has cost him so much, too. But at the end of it all, he is able to look back and reflect: “It’s been an enjoyable ride.”
