Massimo Calvelli became CEO of AC Milan in June 2026 and has been a member of AC Milan's Board of Directors since November 2025. Calvelli brings extensive international leadership experience in the world of sport to the Club, with deep expertise in developing and growing sports organisations and leading commercial platforms on a global scale
Calvelli is also CEO International of RedBird Development Group and an Operating Partner at RedBird Capital Partners, where he works closely with company management to drive international growth and the commercial development of the group's Sports, Media & Entertainment portfolio.
Calvelli brings over two decades of enterprise leadership, brand development, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement experience across the global sports and consumer sectors. Prior to joining RedBird, from 2020 to 2025 he served as Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), where he led a global transformation of men's professional tennis through strategic initiatives including OneVision (the ATP's long-term strategic plan), new governance structures, and the creation of Tennis Data Innovations (TDI), which he also led as interim CEO.
During his tenure, the ATP achieved five consecutive years of double-digit revenue and profit growth, forged a landmark partnership with Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), and launched the sport's first-ever sustainability platform as part of its ESG strategy.
Prior to ATP, Calvelli spent nine years at Nike in various leadership roles. As Nike's Global Sports Marketing Director, he oversaw athlete partnerships, brand strategy, and major collaborations with brands such as Aston Martin, Evian, and Beats. He also led the development of a scouting intelligence platform that helped recruit some of the finest talent in tennis and played a key role in establishing Nike's sports analytics division.
Previously, he was Global Business Director at Wilson Sporting Goods, managing the global tennis product portfolio and grassroots market strategy, and served as European Marketing and National Sales Director at Amer Sports, where he was responsible for regional strategy and business development.
Calvelli began his career as a professional tennis player, reaching a world ranking of No. 255 on the ATP tour.
