A fourth generation San Franciscan, Larry Baer joined the San Francisco Giants in 1992 as the Executive Vice President. He was named CEO in 2012. In his first year as president and CEO, the Giants won their second World Series Championship in three years. In 2014, the Giants won their third World Series title in five years. In 2021, the Giants won an all-time franchise record 107 games and the National League West title.

A graduate of UC Berkeley and Harvard Business School, Baer was named the “Person of the Year” by San Francisco Boys and Girls Clubs in 2010, and in 2012 he was honored as the Harvard Business School’s “Alumnus of the Year.” Baer and his wife Pam Co-Chaired the Campaign to Rebuild San Francisco General Hospital which was successfully completed in 2016. He is a founding member of Partnership for San Francisco and continues to chair and oversee the development of Mission Rock, the 28-acre mixed use neighborhood across from Oracle Park.
