Danny Schayes is a multi-faceted entrepreneur. As a former professional basketball player Danny played 18 years in the NBA. During that time, he was one of the lead player negotiators for the leagues multi-billion dollar Collective Bargaining Agreement. During and after his playing career, Danny was a professional broadcaster as the color analyst for the Denver Nuggets, the Seattle Supersonics, as well as guest analyst for ESPN, and TNT. After his playing career, Danny stayed on the business side of sports. As the Executive Director of the NBA’s Retired Players Association, Danny was responsible for all aspects of the organization including: budgeting, player programs, group licensing, sponsorship, major events, and league relations. Later Danny worked as the Director of Business Optimization for a specialty economics firm handling sports revenue projects including: dynamic and variable ticket pricing, franchise valuation, sponsorship valuation and activation, analysis of league programs (salary cap. television contracts, player early entry program, etc.). Danny currently is the Sports Industry Principal for Sports and Entertainment at Endava. He works with sports teams, leagues, and businesses helping them use advanced technology to create improved fan engagement, team and athlete performance, and financial success.
