Joy Nuga is a Partner & Chief of Staff at Synergy Sports Capital, an emerging sports-focused private equity fund co-founded by Terrence Murphy Sr. and Reggie Bush, targeting team & league ownership, sports-related real estate development, and sports-adjacent businesses. She oversees fund operations, infrastructure, and deal execution for the firm's inaugural $150mm fund.

Joy's career spans private equity, public markets, and cross-border deal structuring, with prior investing experience at The D. E. Shaw Group and Goldman Sachs Asset Management's flagship Private Equity Group. Beyond her institutional background, she has been independently active in women's sports investing, most recently advising on the acquisition of a professional women's football club in the UK.

Her work has consistently centered on capital structure design, governance alignment, and disciplined underwriting across complex transactions, with a growing track record at the intersection of institutional finance and women's sports.

A native New Yorker, Joy serves on the Board of Trustees of her alma mater, Hunter College. She is also a Schwarzman Scholar, having graduated with a Master of Management Science from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
