Aly Wagner began her professional soccer career with the U.S. Women’s National Team
in 1998, while still a freshman at Santa Clara University in California. She led SCU to its
first NCAA title, scoring the game-winning goal in the championship match. In 2003, Aly
was selected as the number-one overall pick in the WUSA college draft.

During her decorated career, Aly played for the San Diego Spirit, Boston Breakers,
Olympique Lyonnais, and Los Angeles Sol from 2003 to 2009. As an attacking midfielder
for the U.S. Women’s National Team, she earned 131 caps between 1998 and 2008,
scoring 21 goals and providing 42 assists. Aly is a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and a
two-time Women’s World Cup Bronze Medalist.

Following her playing career, Aly became a prominent broadcaster, serving as CBS
Sports and FOX Sports’ lead game analyst for the U.S. Women’s National Team and FIFA
women’s and men’s World Cup coverage. In 2018, she made U.S. television history as the
first woman to call a men’s FIFA World Cup match in English.

Aly is also a founder, owner, and Co-Chair of the Board for NWSL’s Bay FC, helping bring
the club’s vision to life. She produced and hosted the first original network television
programming initiative for women’s soccer, an NWSL-focused series featuring highlights,
analysis, and interviews with influential players, coaches, and team owners.

She completed an EIR at Sixth Street Partners and currently serves as Chief of Strategy
and Partnerships for the World Sevens Football series, a global 7v7 tournament for top
professional women’s football clubs.
